Elections Secretariat tells campaigning political parties not to cause inconvenience to students
The Election Secretariat has requested all political parties to carry out their propaganda activities without causing inconvenience to those who are sitting for the GCE Advanced Level Examinations.
Additional Elections Commissioner, M.M. Mohammed said that the Elections Commissioner had, at a meeting held on Monday, briefed all party representatives.
Commissioner General of Exams, W.M.N.J Pushpakumara stated that if any G.C.E Advanced Level candidates faced with any inconvenience while answering their papers, they may raise their concerns with the invigilator at the examination hall.
Meanwhile, the election monitors have also requested political party supporters to refrain from inconveniencing those sitting for the examinations. Executive director of Caffe, Keerthi Tennakoon said that party leaders and candidates should take note of this.
