Cliff Gagnon

Clifford “Cliff” Lee Gagnon of Leesburg, went home to be with his Lord at 2:40 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 4, 2021, at Goshen Hospital, Goshen, Indiana at the age of 84.

He was born on April 12, 1936, in Wabash County, to Sarah Annabelle (Hamilton) Gagnon and Russel C. Gagnon. On Nov. 15, 1959, he was married to Irene Rose (Bridegam) Gagnon. They raised four children, enjoyed seeing their grandchildren come into the world and shared so many memories in the 61 years of marriage they had.

Cliff graduated high school in 1954 in South Whitley, and joined the U.S. Army the same year. He served in Germany as a mechanic until his honorable discharge. He was a resident of Kosciusko County, for the past 54 years where he was a longtime member of the Missionary Church North Central District. He worked at Controls a company in North Manchester, and later at G.T.I. Dytronics in Leesburg. Cliff retired from Heckaman Homes in Nappanee in 2006. He worked in residential construction and was proud that over the course of his lifetime he built three homes. He always made time to relax and very much enjoyed fishing and hunting. Most of all he dearly loved his family, and he will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife: Irene Rose Gagnon, Leesburg; son: Steven (Laurie) Gagnon, Burlington, N.C.; three daughters: Darla Gagnon, Warsaw; Brenda Cramer, Syracuse; Leah (Kevin) Branch, Marion; fourteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; brother: Otis (Jean) Gagnon, Fair Haven, N.Y.; and his sister: Eva (Bill) Parcel, Wakarusa. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers.

Cliff’s life will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 8, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw and officiated by Pastor Dave Hackney of New Paris Missionary Church. Friends and family may visit prior to the service from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. A graveside service will follow at Leesburg Cemetery in Leesburg, with military rites conducted by the American Legion Post #49, V.F.W. #1126 both of Warsaw.

Memorial donations may be directed to the New Paris Missionary Press, P.O. Box 61, New Paris, IN 46553 and would be appreciated by the family.
