ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s stocks gained a marginal 0.59 percent within the first hour of trade on Thursday while a liquid index remained down, Colombo Stock Exchange data showed.
The All Share Price Index moved at a slower pace, gaining only 49.94 points to 8,443.41 at 1130 hrs, pulling slightly up from the previous session’s slip.
Meanwhile, the S&#038;P SL20 index of most liquid share was down 0.34 percent or 9.70 points to 2,806.75.
The market generated 1.1 billion rupees in turnover.
Top gainers in the first hour were – LOLC, Lion Brewery and Watawala Plantations.
