Sri Lanka bill yields ease down
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s Treasury bill yields fell at Wednesday’s auction with the 3-month bills down 42 basis points to 23.65 percent data from the state debt office showed.
The debt office raised 60 billion rupees from 3-month bills after offering 45 billion rupees of bills but a higher level of 12-month bills were also sold.
Last week the auction was rejected and bids which came high were rejected.
The cut off was estimated around 23.90 percent levels.
The 6-month yield fell 47 percent to 24.22 percent with 22.5 billion rupees of being raised.
The cut off was estimated around 24.5 percent levels.
The 12-month yield fell at a slower pace by 20 basis points with more 25.6 billion rupees being raised.
The cut off was estimated around 24.60 percent levels.
The debt office offered a total of 90 billion rupees and accepted 90 billion rupees. (Colombo/May25/2022)
