Sri Lanka leading among countries suitable for tourism

Sri Lanka is leading among the 31 countries that are most suitable for tourism. The New York Times magazine has placed Sri Lanka in the number one place in this regard.

The New York Times has pointed out that the present political stability with the dawn of peace in the country has contributed to this rating. Asia Pacific Tourism Association has confirmed that the number of tourists expected by August this year has exceeded the number expected due to the confidence about the security situation in the country. The association has predicted that about 500 thousand foreign tourist would visit Sri Lanka by the end of this year. Meanwhile the National Geography Magazine has taken that Sri Lanka is behind only Cuba with regard to tourism.
