Gunaratna's files to AG’s office
Presidential Investigation Commission has decided to ask Attorney General’s Department to take legal action against Deputy Minister of former Mahinda Rajapaksa regime Sarath Gunaratna regarding the incident where more than Rs.13,000,000 of Sri Lanka Ports Corporation had been misappropriated.
It has been revealed that Mr. Gunaratna spent more than Rs.9990,000 to arrange a stage for a rally held during the presidential election.
He is also charged for spending nearly Rs. 1,300,000 to print caps and T- shirts and another Rs. 1,000,000 to print diaries as a part of his propaganda campaign. His son-in-law too has been accused of the same crimes.
