Sri Lanka Navy rescues stranded Hambantota fishermen
The Sri Lanka Navy has carried out a successful rescue operation to save the ten fishermen who were stranded at sea. Two multi-day trawlers broke down 35 nautical miles from Hambantota.
The Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resource Development had notified the Navy of the incident.
Ten fishermen from Manusath and Isuru Putha 3 multi-day trawlers were rescued by the Navy and were brought to the Hamabantota Harbour aboard the Navy vessel Udara.
