Sri Lanka stocks close higher 0.07-pct: Net Foreign outflow

Sep 03, 2015 (LBO) – Sri Lankan stocks closed higher 0.07 percent on Thursday after three days of losses with index heavy stocks showing gains, brokers said.

The Colombo benchmark All Share Price Index closed higher 5.11 points at 7,245.50 higher 0.07 percent.

S&P SL20 closed 1.06 points higher at 3,978.84 down 0.03 percent.

“We saw a net foreign outflow of 196 million rupees whit 31 foreign participation,” Lanka Securities said.

Turnover was 566 million rupees, down from 662 million rupees, Thursday with 64 stocks closing positive against 65 negative.

The main index showed gains in Ceylon Tobacco Company closing at 979.50 rupees up 9.50 rupees and Aiken Spence closing at 97.60 rupees, up 1.50 rupees.

Commercial Bank closed flat 171.00 rupees with one off the floor trade of 800,000 shares recorded at 170.00 rupees. DFCC Bank closed down at 189.70 rupees, down 0.30 rupees.

Dialog Axiata closed flat 11.40 rupees.
