Govt to issue treasury bills worth Rs. 24b through auction
The Central Bank announced on Friday that the government will issue Treasury bills for Rs.24 billion through an auction on September 9, 2015.
The treasury bills will be offered in three maturities – Rs 6 billion of 3-month, Rs. 8 billion of 6-month and Rs. 10 billion of 12-month.
The minimum amount of a bid is Rs. 5 million and multiples of rupees one million onwards. The issues will be settled on September 11, 2015.
Bids are invited from the primary dealers in government securities and should be made only through the electronic bidding facility provided by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka
