If anyone in the Army has done anything wrong that individual should be punished but the whole Army need not be punished says former Defense Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa. He said security forces or political leaders should not be punished by an international court.
Mr. Rajapaksa expressed these views when he came to the Presidential Commission of Inquiry appointed to investigate serious acts of fraud, corruption and abuse of power, state resources, and privileges (PRECIFAC) yesterday, to give a statement over the Rakna Lanka floating armoury.
He said that he was definite that the President and the Prime Minister would not agree on a move that would bring an unfavourble situation to Sri Lanka. Mr. Rajapaksa said he does not accept the report of the Office of the UN High Commissioner's Investigation on Sri Lanka (OISL).
