Health Ministry to investigate death of woman at Karapitiya Hospital

The Ministry of Health says it will investigate the death of a woman who died three days after she was admitted to the Karapitiya Hospital. A woman was admitted to the Karapitiya Hospital after she suffered an injury to her leg.

She was given a vaccine on the very day she was admitted.Her husband, Sub-Inspector L.W.Jagath Siriwardena says that following the injection of the vaccine, she developed an allergic reaction.

However, yesterday her relatives were informed of her demise. The death certificate from the hospital says that the body samples were sent for a test.

The death of this teacher who was admitted to seek treatment for a wound in her leg, has raised many issues.
