Veteran journalist Harold Wijesinghe passes away
Veteran journalist Harold Wijesinghe passed away on Saturday morning. He was 53 years of age. Born on the 21st of January 1962, Harold Wijesinghe was a product of Royal College , Colombo.
WIjesinghe who had taken ill for over a period of time, passed away at his residence in Colombo.Harold Wijesinghe, who commenced his career at the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation , later served at the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation and the Independent Television.
A professional cameraman, producer and a specialist in Telecision technology, Harold Wijesinghe also served as the MTV / MBC Station Director. Harold Wijesinghe who later went on to serve as a consultant to MTV / MBC is the owner of PE Plus.
Television dramas such as Nonawaruni Mahathwaruni,Yes Boss and Yes Madam were produced by Harold Wijesinghe.
The body of the late Harold Wijesinghe has been placed at the Jayaratne Florist in Borella , for the public to pay their last respects. The funeral will take place on Wednesday at the crematorium in Borella.
