SIS gets new chief : Kahawatte OIC transferred

Inspector General of Police N.K. Ilangakoone has appointed Senior Superintendent of Police M.H. Marso of the State Intelligence Service as Director of the Special Branch with immediate effect.


At the same time Director of the Special Branch Senior Superintendent of Police T.C.A. Dhanapala has been transferred to the Tangalle Police Division. Police Media Unit said that, these transfers were initiated on service requirements, by the IGP.
In addition, Chief Inspector of Police L.P. Rajamanthri who was the Officer-In-Charge of the Kahawatte Police Station has been transferred as the OIC of the Welipenna Police and the OIC of Welipenna who was Chief Inspector of Police A.A.K.S. Adhikari has been transferred to the Puttalam Police Division.


Officer-In-Charge of the Weligama Police Station Chief Inspector of Police O.V.R.P. Olugala has been appointed as the OIC of the Kahawatte Police Station.
Police Media Unit further said that, Chief Inspector of Police W.A.H.N. Jayatilleke who was serving in the Presidential Security Division has been appointed as the OIC of the Weligama Police Station.
