Fine Arts students walk demanding solutions
Students of the University of the Visual & Performing Arts in Colombo did a protest march today (6th) to University Grants Commission demanding solutions for their issues.
The protest march was organized by the Students Union of the University of the Visual & Performing Arts. They also demanded the authorities to withdraw suspensions given to students.
Ward Place, where the UGC is, was cordoned off by the police while riot police including water cannon were kept on alert in the area.
Ten students were allowed to go in to the UGC to have discussions say reports.
