O/L tuition banned from tomorrow
The GCE (O/L) examination will begin tomorrow (2nd) and the Department of Examinations states that conducting tuition classes, seminars, workshops and printing model papers targeting students sitting the examination has been prohibited with effect from midnight tomorrow until the examination end.
The examination will be held from 8th to 17th December and during this period organizing or conducting tuition classes, special lectures, seminars, workshops as well as printing model question papers, distributing them and promoting them through any form of media are prohibited states the Commissioner General of Examinations W.N.J. Pushpakumara.
The Commissioner General of Examination further states that legal action would be instigated against any institution or individual who disregards these instructions and the public could inform such offences by ringing 1911 of the Department of Examinations or 0112-784208, 0112-784537 of the results unit of the Department. The public can also inform examination offences to 0112- 421111 of Police Headquarters or Police Emergency number 119.
