Awards galore for ITN at SLIM

Independent Television Network has again been honoured with several Awards amidst high public response. ITN is Year’s People’s Channel as well as the Nationa’s Youth Channel.

The Peoples Awards Nite, which was a joint effort by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing and Nielsen, the largest Research Company in Sri Lanka was organized on a grand scale at Waters Edge in Battaramulla last night. Many Parliamentarians and VIP’s graced the occasion. The Award for the Peoples Channel this year was bagged by ITN.

ITN also won the Peoples Award for the Year’s Youth Channel.

The Year’s Peoples TV Programme was “Ata Pattama” telecast by ITN

It was ITN which telecast the Peoples Tele drama. “Amanda” was adjudged as the People’s Tele drama. While Nehra Peiris wond the Awards of the People’s Young actress, Malini Fonseka came in for acclamatin as the Peoples Actress. Aba was the Peoples Film. Singer was voted the Brand of the Year. ITN was not only the TV Channel but also the Institute to bag the highest number of Awards. This is not the first occasion that ITN had earned accolades. It was able to glitter at almost every Awards Nite including Raigam, Sumathi and Signis. Independent Television Network is glad to extend its gratitude to the intelligent viewers who remained with the Channel without being hoodwinked by the narrow baseless propaganda of opportunists. It pledges to dedicate itself to serve the nation not only as the People’s Channel and Nation’s Youth Channel today but also in the years to come.
