‘Collective of Teledrama Artistes’ launched

The ‘Collective of Teledrama Artistes’ created under the theme ‘A dignified Profession and entertainment with responsibility’ held its first media conference at the auditorium of Department of Government  Information yesterday (19th).

A group representing producers, directors, script writers, artistes, camera directors, asst. camera directors, production managers, editors, art directors, makeup artists, hair dressers, clothe designers, music directors, sound technicians, still photographers, stunt directors, dancers and choreographers, play back singers, dubbing artists, technicians and asst. technicians and assistants in the sector participated.

Accomplished figures in the sector such as Bennet Ratnayaka, Anuruddha Jayasinghe, Anura Jayasekera, Wasanthi Chathurani, Roshan Ravindra, Jagath Manuwarna, Buddadasa Galappaththi and Parliamentarian Nalinda Jayatissa and Dr. Nirmal Ranjith Devasiri too were present.

It was revealed at the media conference that a special forum would be held at the auditorium of Colombo Public Library on 28th January at 2.00 p.m. with the participation of artistes in the teledrama sector.
