All Ceylon Muslim Congress (ACMC) Leader and Industries Minister Rishard Bathiudeen has said the government has not taken necessary measurers to resettle the Muslim families who were evicted from the North during the period of the conflict.
Bathiudeen has said the government has not yet taken any step to resettle the Northern Muslims who were forcibly evicted by the LTTE two decades ago.
Bathiudeen has said that he together with ACMC Wanni District MP Hunais Farook would work with the government to resettle theNorthern Muslims.
The Minister is also a victim of this mass eviction by the LTTE and resettled in the Puttalam District along with the rest of the Muslims.
According to Bathiudeen, Northern Muslims would be resettled in their own lands after the displaced Tamil civilians were resettled.
