BEES HONEY OFFERED TO THE SACRED TOOTH RELICS
Sri Lanka’s indigenous community has offered Bees Honey to the Sacred Tooth Relics in Kandy. The Indigenous community including its Chief Uruwarige Wannila Aththo offered fresh Bees Honey obtained from the Bimtenna Forest and also paid homage to the Sacred Tooth Relics. The offering was done this morning in parallel to the first Randoli Perahera of the Kandy Esala Festival wishing prosperity to the country. The ritual is carried out annually by the tribe. A group including the Diyawdana Nilame of the Sri Dalada Maligawa Pradeep Nilanga Dela was present.
