How can Sri Lankan charities find international donors and partners?

Veterans in the cinema industry hail, late cinematographer Dr.D.B.Nihalsinghe as one who rendered an immortal service to Sri Lanka.

The film Welikathara, considered to among the ten greatest cinema creations in the country, was also the first film in Cinemascope in Sri Lanka

Sri Lankan director D. B. Nihalsinghe, who also created Maldeniye Simeon saw one its stars win the Indian Rajatha Mayura Awards for Best Actress. D. B. Nihalsinghe  was the first Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of the Sri Lanka’s National Film Corporation.

He was the pioneer who introduced professional television production to Sri Lanka, commencing with Sri Lanka’s and South Asia’s first Colour teledrama,  Dimuthu Muthu.

D. B. Nihlsinghe who started in Vietnam as a war correspondent,  surpassed so many boundaries and became the General Manager of the All Asian Satellite Television and Radio Operator of Malaysia which is known as ASTRO.

He also obtained a PhD in Public Enterprises from the University of South Australia in Adelaide.

D.B. Nihalsinghe who was committed to move the country towards  digital centered cinema, together with the Kelaniya University, created a new course for a Degree in Cinema Television.

He was also the first to be appointed as professor in Cinema and Television in Sri Lanka. D. B. Nihalsinghe who took the Sri Lankan Cinema to greater heights starting from Welikathara, silenced his creative genius at the age of 77 when he breathed his last
