An injunction order has been issued preventing parliamentarians Dullas Alahapperuma, Dinesh Gunawardena, Wimal Weerawansa and Udaya Gammanpila from entering the Shalika grounds in Narahenpita.

The order was issued by the Colombo Magistrate’s Court, following a request made by the police.

As per the order, the MPs are prohibited from entering the Shalika grounds in Narahenpita to organise May Day processions or rallies, for a period of fourteen days. The order also extends to their organisers, followers and members.

The police sought the injunction order from the court, based on a complaint lodged at the Narahenpita Police by SLTB Chairman Ramal Siriwardena.
