VEET launches “I AM YOU” campaign – Wishes for Miss Sri Lanka for Miss World 2011

VEET, a power brand of Reckitt Benckiser launched the ‘I AM YOU’ campaign centered around Pushpika de Silva, the current Miss Sri Lanka for Miss World 2011. The event was held at Park Street Mews on 29 September amidst a gathering of distinguished guests in the fields of beauty, music, film industry and business.

The theme “I AM YOU” showcased the dreams and aspirations of every Sri Lankan girl being fulfilled through one woman – Veet Miss Sri Lanka, the reigning queen who represents beauty, intellect, passion and philanthropic strength.
“The event was an ode to the power of the common woman who inspires us everyday in every sphere of life – from home makers to corporate czars. They are everywhere. The evening was special as we collectively wished Veet Miss Sri Lanka – ‘good wishes’ and supported her to go win the Miss World crown and fulfill the dreams of the common woman” stated Reckitt’s Managing Director Rahul Murgai.
The many invitees represented a cross section of the cream of the country’s talented people.  The evening flowed with grace and charm as the beautiful Pushpika was welcomed in style befitting her title and encouraged with many heartfelt wishes given by a few selected guests who stand out themselves and anecdotes that kept the evening alive with meaning and emotion.
Some of the interesting moments of the event were the fashion show that added a touch of style, created a lively interest and was much appreciated and applauded by the audience. A large card was handed over to the beauty queen signed by all the invitees as a gesture of the goodwill and wishing her good luck in the world pageant.
