Plan to develop Dehiwala-Mt. Lavinia
A meeting between government officials and intellectuals was held at Mt. Lavinia Hotel yesterday (Oct. 06) to discuss the development of Dehiwala-Mt. Lavinia as a clean city and as major tourism attraction close to the capital.
Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka, defence secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and his additional secretary Rohan Seneviratne participated.
Minister Ranawaka, who is the Ratmalana coordinating committee chairman, said Colombo has already become a beautiful city, and other major cities in the vicinity should reach the same level of upliftment.
