Breaking News: Parliament adjourned till tomorrow due to tense situation

Speaker Karu Jayasuriya has informed parliament that parliamentary proceedings will be suspended till Wednesday, May 04.

According to our Parliamentary Correspondent, an altercation took place between two factions in Parliament.  Speaker, Karu Jayasuriya thus took the decision to adjourn Parliament for the day by taking into account the tense situation that has arisen.

He also noted that he condemns the incident which took place in parliament and also stated that it was condemned during the Party Leaders Meeting which was also convened on Tuesday, May 03
