Polonowita wins AmCham Challenge trophy

The twelfth AmCham RCGC Golf Tournament 2011 organised in partnership with Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau was held on Saturday, 29 October at the Royal Colombo Golf Club. Around 130 golfers took part in the tournament this year.
The Winners are as follows:

Division A Winner: Lallith Rohitha, Division A Runner–up:Romesh Abhayaratne
Division B Winner: Lal Wickramathunga, Division B Runner –up: Srimath Dias Perera
Division C Winner: Rohith Silva, Division C Runner-up:A.V. Rajendran
Seniors Winner:Tommy Wijesekera, Seniors Runner up;Ranja Rajendran
Ladies Winner;Niloo Jayathilake, Ladies Runner up: Niranjalee Amarasooriya
Sponsor Winner:Susantha Pinto, Sponsor Runner –up:T. Akbarally
AmCham Winner:Primal Wijayanayake, AmCham Runner up:Andy Anderson
Winner Gross: Mangala Niyarepola  
Nearest to pin was won by Nirajalee Amarasoorya while Most Accurate Drive was won by Manori Jayakody
D.S. Polonowita was the Winner of the twelfth AmCham Challenge Trophy with 45 points.
This tournament is organised as a charitable event where part proceeds of the tournament are utilised to meet the educational requirements of needy children.
This year’s CSR project through this tournament will be to meet the educational requirements of the children of the caddie staff at the RCGC and those others in the vicinity.
AmCham and RCGC through the partnership of SLTPB wish to reach out to the needy in society whilst AmCham will promote MICE tourism in Sri Lanka by utilising its waste network of international contacts.
