Top hotels sweep World Spice Food Festival awards
Several top hotels including Cinnamon Grand and Cinnamon Lakeside have won several awards at the World Spice Food Festival’s Spice Competition.
The festival kicked off on 28 October and will conclude today.
The grand awards ceremony was held last night at the Water’s Edge with Sri Lanka Tourism Chairman Dr. Nalaka Godahewa as the Chief Guest.
The Festival comprised of a Hawker Street public event at Green Path, World Spice Food Festival in hotels and restaurants and fam tour for participating foreign chefs. Participating hotels and their cuisine included Hilton Colombo (Bavarian), Grand Orient Hotel (Italian), Galadari Hotel (Arabic), Mt. Lavinia Hotel (Latin American), Hilton Residence (Chinese), Taj Samudra (South African), Cinnamon Grand (Pakistan), Cinnamon Lakeside (Singaporean), Ramada Colombo (Indian), Ceylon Continental (Malaysian), Galle Face Hotel (Indonesian), Casa Colombo (Spanish), Mango Tree (Indian), Siam House (Thai), The Sizzle (Sizzling Foods), Jack Tree (Thai) and Raja Bojun (Sri Lankan).
