Jayasuriya and Murali to play in Gulf Super Sixes
Sri Lanka’s retired legendary players Sanath Jayasuriya and Muttiah Muralitharan have being chosen to play in the upcoming Gulf Super Sixes tournament.
They will be joined by India’s stylish left-hander Vinod Kambli and legendary pacer Wasim Akram, who is also the brand ambassador of the event.
The four players will play for one of the domestic teams that will reach the quarter-finals of the tournament.
Forty-eight teams from the region are playing in the event, which will be held from December 2 to 16.
“Eight teams that reach the quarter-finals of the tournament, being held under the auspices of the Dubai Cricket Council, will have an international cricketer play alongside them” the organizer has said.
Those players will serve as mentors and coaches of the teams.
