A group of investors from the State of Qatar is ready to undertake massive investments in tourism based industries in Sri Lanka.

This was revealed by the Prime Minister of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jaber Al-Thani when he met President Rajapaksa.

The meeting took place at the West Inn Hotel in Bali. Qatar investors are planning to launch hotels in Colombo and tourist attraction locations outside Colombo.

The Qatari Prime Minister intimated to the President that the team of investors will be touring Sri Lanka within the next few days. President Rajapaksa appraised the Qatari leader about the economic growth recently achieved by Sri Lanka.
