Gammedda 100-Day Initiative: Be the change you wish for
One hundred projects within a span of 100 days… such is our aim, our goal. The Gammedda 100 day initiative continues amidst praise from both local and international communities.
BE THE CHANGE
You too could be a part of this public imitative. Following are some of the projects through which, you can make a difference…..
Anuradhapura
There is a shrubbery area located in close proximity to the Telengu village. It has been split into two parts. Male and Female. Not because of any natural reason, but because the 200 families living in this village has only two usable toilets.
These residents make a living through odd jobs and acts such as training monkeys. And through the Gammedda 100-day initiative, we aim to give these people a brighter future….
Ampara
Once again, the lack of proper sanitation facilities is an issue that plagues residents living in housing schemes located in Kalmunai.
Seruwila
People living in Kawantissapura spend their days and nights in fear of Wild Elephant attacks. It is has even reached a stage where these people have been forced to abandon their farmlands due to the threat.
Through the Gammedda 100 days initiative we hope to erect an electric fence which spans around 4 1/2 kilometres in order to provide a safer environment for these area residents.
