AOD Graphic Design Department powered with latest Apple iMac techonology

The Academy of Design (AOD), Sri Lanka’s foremost creative educator, not only offers internationally accepted design degrees from one of Europe’s top five design schools; Northumbria University School of Design, but also ensures that AOD students receive a creative exposure similar to those offered at top UK universities along with the state of the art studio facilities to match.

Recently, the AOD Graphic Design studio was upgraded with the latest Apple iMAC computers as a measure to connect students with the best available technology on the planet.
Apple iMacs are recommended and used by international graphics professionals in illustration, motion graphics, web design etc. and Apple’s great font and colour handling and bright displays make them ideal for design work. The Mac has long been considered the computer for graphic design, and the systems have historically been known to be the best for going from screen to print, something graphic designer’s need to do for every printed project.
There are also many great third-party tools available for the Mac for design and project management.
AOD Graphic department trains students in advertising industry relevant modules including typography, promotional graphics, illustration, applied photography, packaging, digital media, corporate identity, printmaking, communication in design and more.
AOD’s aim is to give South-Asian students tools and support needed to become world-class professionals in advertising and graphic design.
