- newsfirst.lk

The march organised by the Joint Opposition commenced from Uthuwankanda in Mawanella and concluded in the Nelumdeniya area in Dedigama, Warakapola.

The march commenced on Thursday, July 28,  from Peradeniya and reached Ganetenne in the evening, without passing through the Mawanella Town,  due to a court order.

Day two of the march commenced from Uthuwankanda, located outside of the restricted area following religious observances at the Dharmadutha Yogashramaya. However,  the march was delayed by around an hour due to heavy rain.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa was among those present.
