How can Sri Lankan charities find international donors and partners?

“There would have easily been a gathering of over 20 million people at least”, is what UPFA MP Geetha Kumarasinghe said at a media briefing held in Ambalangoda on Thursday August 4.

GKCOLOMBO TO KANDY?

The parliamentarian says that at the beginning,  the walk which had millions of people, walked from Colombo to Kandy. Whereas the march actually happened the other way around.

Following that statement, she went on to comment on the number of individuals, which according to Geetha Kumarasinghe, is “at least over 20 million people”.

After hearing  this, we at News 1st did some research of our own….

According to the Department of Census and Statistics, as of 2012 the population count of Sri Lanka is 20, 277, 597.
