TV1 launches official country-wide broadcast
TV1 launched its official countrywide broadcast on Friday, August 12.
With this step, MTV/MBC and News 1st become the largest private media organisation in Sri Lanka with three television channels that possess countrywide coverage.
TV 1 which entered the local network of the country, commenced transmission on January 21, this year.
Following various test transmissions today, the channel is on a countrywide coverage network.Thereby, starting today, counmtry-wide coverage will be transmitted through eight transmitting towers.
TV1 launched its countrywide coverage today at an auspices time of 6:13 at the resplendent Stein Studios in Ratmalana. A group including the senior management of the Capital Maharaja Organisation, participated at the event.
The channel is further geared up to bring to your table a number of television programmes filled with novelty , meaning and innovation. Starting today a brand new teledrama series will telecast on TV 01. Punchi Manali @ 7 p.m. .@ 7:30 Adambarakari , and @ 08:30 Saraswathi-Chandra.
The main news bulletins in Sinhalese will be aired at 08:00 p.m. and at 9 p.m. in English.
In addition to these programmes, educational programmes as pentathlon and political programmes as Face the Nation will add to your viewing pleasure.The weekend too will packed with a line up of programmes just for you..A number of blockbuster movies and teledramas as Blacklist dubbed in Sinhalese, and a number of programes featuring your favourite Lankan celebrities will be aired.
The channel is also available on Dialog TV. The channel will be on number 10 and number 12 on PEO TV.
