Be cautious about children: Police
Police today requested parents to be cautious about their children to avoid similar incidents to what took place in Mundalama where a child was abducted.
Three and half year old Swasthika from the Mundalagama area and her parents were today present at a press conference held by the Police today.
Police spokesman SP Ajith Rohana requested all nursery teachers and principals to act carefully when handing over a child to the third party guardian.
“The teachers should have the numbers of the parents of the students in their classes,” he said. “The parents too have to inform in writing or verbally to the school when the child is being collected by some other than the parents’, he added.
