COPE wants PB’s digitization project probed
Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) has asked Auditor General’s Department to carry out an investigation into the controversial digitization project of the People's Bank at ministerial level and submit a report to it in a fortnight.
COPE had not been convinced with the replies given by the Directors of People’s Bank when they were summoned to COPE regarding the incident. The Board had stated they had not spent any money on the process to date.
The Board of Directors of People’s Bank was also ordered to hand over all the documents related to the case to Auditor General’s Department. The directives were made when the Board of Directors of People’s Bank appeared before COPE yesterday (22nd).
