Premier Wickremesinghe holds discussions with factions representing the EU
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe held discussions with many factions representing the EU on Thursday as well.
Chairwoman of the EU Human Rights Sub-Committee Barbara Lochbihler led the discussions with the Sri Lankan delegations which were attended by members of the European Green Party and the European Alliance for Freedom.
The Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament also held discussions with the Sri Lankan delegation led by the Prime Minister. These talks were led by István Ujhelyi , the Vice Chair of the EU Sub Committee on Transport and Tourism.
The discussions were focussed on the programmes for the development of tourism in Sri Lanka.
The Prime Minister also called on the President of the European People’s Party Joseph Daul and discussed matters related to regaining the GSP Plus concessions.
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe also held talks with Martin Schulz, the President of the European Parliament.
During the visit to Brussels, the delegations also visited the Port of Antwerp and the Diamond Exhibition.
