Security guard hit himself & the night club ….
According to reports Police investigations into the attack on ‘Clique’, a nightclub in Colombo, two weeks ago, where a security guard was injured and property was damaged by a group, has ended without finding any suspects.
Immediately after the incident media reported that “the weekend nightclub brawl allegedly orchestrated by President Maithripala Sirisena’s son, Daham, which left several security guards of the nightclub injured.”
Also media reported that “Special security provided for Daham Sirisena from the Presidential Security Division (PSD) has been removed with immediate effect following their involvement at the Clique nightclub on Saturday morning”
Media also reported that “Despite clear CCTV footage showing officers from the Presidential Security Division (PSD) threatening the security guards at the night club, after they refused Daham Sirisena and his friends’ entry to the club on October 8, the police have so far not even recorded a statement from Daham Sirisena since the incident.”
OIC Maradana Police- Chief Inspector Sarath Perera has told the media that there hadn’t been any formal complaint about the incident and police investigations have been concluded without charging anyone.
