Sri Lanka take on India at the Finals of Youth Asia Cup 2016 Sri Lanka
The final match of the ACC Youth Asia Cup 2016 Sri Lanka is scheduled to get underway tomorrow at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium. The Day/Night match will be played between India and Sri Lanka as the two top teams in the tournament exert their maximum skills to emerge as the triumphant winner of the ACC Youth Asia Cup 2016.
The matches leading up to the final day have been hard fought, with spectators being treated to some engaging cricketing moments since the tournament began.
The Sri Lanka Cricket Team consists of Kamindu Mendis (Captain), Ashen Bandara, Ravindu Sanjana, Hareen Buddhila, Jehan Daniel, Revan Kelly, Hasitha Boyagoda, Thisaru Rashmika Dilshan, Praveen Jayawickrema, Vishva Chathuranga, Lasith Croospulle, Wanitha Wanninayake, Thilan Prasan, Krishan Sanjula, Nipun Ranshika, and Roy Dias (Coach).

Sri Lanka U19 207 v India U19 208/4 (39.5/50 ov) India U19 won by 6 wickets(18th Dec)
In the Semi-Final Match, Sri Lanka U19 beat Bangladesh by 26 runs (D/L method) in Semifinal SL U19s 106/2 (27.1 ov) Vishva Chathuranga 68, R Kelly 23, v BAN U19s 194 (48.3 ov)
Meanwhile, India’s performance in its Group A matches were as follows:
India U19 289 (Prithvi Shaw 89, Abhishek Sharma 59; Muhammad Amir 3-33) beat Malaysia U19 54- all out (Kamlesh Nagarkoti 4-12, Abhishek Sharma 2-9) by 235 runs.
India U19 174/4 (33.3 Ov) vs NEPAL U19 172/9 (50.0 Ov) India won by 6 wickets.
Sri Lanka U19 207 v India U19 208/4 (39.5/50 ov) India U19 won by 6 wickets(18th Dec)
In the semi-final, India Under 19 beat Afghanistan U19s by 77 runs – India U19s 294 (49.1 ov) , Afghanistan U19s 217/7 (50.0 ov).
The Youth Asia Cup 2016 commenced on 14th December and will end on 23rd December 2016 as the two final teams battle it out.
The matches have been played out in seven venues across Sri Lanka.
India and Sri Lanka beat other Under 19 teams from Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, Singapore and Malaysia in their respective group matches to reach the final of the tournament. The tournament is organized by the Asian Cricket Council with Sri Lanka Cricket being the host board.
