Indian national had no visa
An Indian national who was staying illegally in the country was nabbed while attempting to sell textiles in the Vavuniya Town yesterday, police said. They said the man was arrested on suspicion and investigations later revealed that his landing visit visa had long expired and that he was trading in the textile business for several months. The man is also known to have made several trips between Colombo and locations in the north and east during this period, according to police. Last week another Indian national who had over stayed his visa was nabbed by the navy near Mannar.
