Srilanka Tourism to register service providers via online
Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority is planning to launch an online system to register new tourism establishments in a bid to cater to the growing demand for such businesses in the country.
The Authority says, once the automated licensing system comes into place starting from the 1st of May, they will be able to register a new establishment or renew the license of an existing firm within a few hours.

The new system will store data of each application along with inspection reports, photo graphs and other documents.
“Manuel system took long time for document acceptance and verification. Sometimes applicant had to come several times and each year same documents had to be produced”, added the statement.

Those services includes tourist hotels, guest houses, travel agents, Restaurants, home stays, bungalow, boat operators, tour guides, chauffeur guides, jeep operators etc.
