MR Says No Talks With MS On SLFP
Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa says he will not have any talks with President Maithripala Sirisena on the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP).
It was reported last week that there was a move to initiate talks between Rajapaksa and Sirisena.
However Rajapaksa, who was in Pakistan last week, said that any discussion on the SLFP should be with the party members and not the President.
Several attempts had been made in the past to unite the SLFP members supporting Rajapaksa and those backing Sirisena.
However, those efforts have so far ended in failure. (AW)
