Sri Lanka – Singapore signs MOU to strengthen business relationships
Sri Lanka and Singapore today signed an MOU in a bid to further strengthen the business relationship existing between the two countries.
The MOU was singed between the Singapore Business Federation and the Sri Lanka Singapore Business Council.
“The MoU confirms that not only has there been notable progress in our commercial relations, but that it lays the foundation for a significant enhancement of this relationship” added Shamil Mendis, President of the Sri Lanka Singapore Business Council.
The signing of the MOU took place this morning during the Sri Lanka Singapore business forum held in Colombo.
The forum was attended by a large number of Singaporean business leaders who have arrived in the country as a part of the delegation led by the Singapore Business Federation, which is the apex and the largest business chamber in that country.
K. Shanmugam, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Law of Singapore who is on a visit to Sri Lanka and Rishad Bathiudeen, Minister of Industry & Commerce of Sri Lanka also took part in the forum.
