Young guns to share insights to positioning Sri Lanka in global economy
Several young politicians and professionals will next week share their key insights to positioning Sri Lanka in the global economy at a platform convened by the premier private sector lobby Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
The young leaders will include MP Vasantha Senanayake, MP (Dr.) Harsha De Silva, MP Bimal Ratnayake, MP Sunil Handunnetti, MP M.A. Sumanthiran and Udaya Gammanpila. The session will be moderated by Mano Tittawella, Chairman, Copyline Group and APEX Consultancy Services Ltd.
They will figure in a panel discussion on the last day of the Ceylon Chamber organised Sri Lanka Economic Summit scheduled from 10 to 13 July at the Cinnamon Grand.

The Chamber has been inviting young parliamentarians and business leaders to the last session of the Economic Summit during the past few summits, giving them an opportunity to air their views on key economic issues affecting the country and giving the audience the opportunity to pose questions and express their suggestions on creating a better environment for business to grow.
The 13th Sri Lanka Economic Summit will also bring together a large number of business leaders, Government officials, ambassadors and policymakers on one platform to discuss issues related to the Sri Lankan economy.
The three day-long event features eight plenary sessions under a diversity of themes ranging from ‘Sri Lankan Economy in Perspective,’ ‘Moving Beyond Conflict,’ ‘Opportunities in Emerging Markets,’ ‘Branding Sri Lanka,’ ‘Skills & Productivity to Compete in the Global Market,’ ‘Ease of Doing Business – Sri Lanka ranked 89 – Fact or Fiction?,’ ‘Investing in Sri Lanka’ and ‘Positioning Sri Lanka in the Global Economy’.
