Ranaviru Real Star Season Two grand finale today

The grand finale of the highly anticipated Ranaviru Real Star Mission Two, one of the most watched reality shows in Sri Lanka which highlights the hidden talents of our armed forces personal to hit the airways live on Sri Lanka Rupavahini on 6 July.

Ranaviru Real Star was developed on a concept given by Secretary, Ministry of Defence and Urban Development, Gotabaya Rajapaksa and is organised by the Ministry of Defence in partnership with event partner Dialog Axiata PLC, Sri Lanka’s largest mobile service provider with over 7.5 million subscribers.
The highly successful Mission One of Ranaviru Real Star received the highest number of SMS’s (Short Message Service) for a reality show final. This time around too the preliminary rounds were recorded live and broadcast on Sri Lanka Rupavahini with the backdrop for the episodes being locations with a military association, while the grand final would be aired live on the same channel.
The grand finale of RRS2 will be telecasted live on Sri Lanka Rupavahini on 6 July at 6.30p.m. from the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium. Media Centre for National Security (MCNS) Director General Lakshman Hulugalle said, “Ranaviru Real Star Mission One is a brain child of Secretary of the Ministry of Defence and Urban Development Gotabaya Rajapaksa, to telecast the hidden aesthetic talents of the three forces war heroes.”“I would like to thank Dialog Axiata’s generous gesture for sponsoring this grand event and national television channel Rupavahini for stepping in as the official media partner.” The five finalist for RRS Mission 2 comprise of, Gayan Arunapriya of the Sri Lanka Navy, Lance Corporal Kavinda Dumindaraj of the Sri Lanka Army, Sergeant Asela Manukulasuriya of the Sri Lanka Army, Ayomi Perera of the Sri Lanka Army and Imali Anuruddhika of the Sri Lanka Air Force.   The panel of judges which comprises of eminent personalities involved in the music industry in Sri Lanka will have a direct say in 60 per cent of the outcome, while the rest of the outcome will be decided by the public via SMS.  “It has been an honour and privilege to for us to partner RRS for the second consecutive year,” Dialog Axiata Chief Marketing Officer Amali Nanayakkara said. “The realisation of hidden talents of our heroes from the forces is a worthy cause and partnering with this event has been ultimately satisfying for us as a Sri Lankan corporate entity.”
The winner of Ranaviru Real Star: Mission 2 would be the proud recipient of a house worth Rs. 17 million, while the runner up would receive a brand new car and a cash prize of Rs. 1 million. The third place winner would receive a cash price of Rs. 2 million, with fourth and fifth placements walking away with Rs. 500,000 each. In addition sixth to tenth places would receive a cash prize of Rs. 250,000 each along with a LED TV and a DTV (Dialog Television) connection.
