The top level performances of the sales force of Scan Products Division of CW Mackie PLC – in 2011/12 were recognised at a ceremony held at the Club Palm Bay Hotel Marawila recently.


Congratulating the winners, the chief guest at the Awards ceremony CW Mackie Chairman/CEO W.T Ellawala assured that just as much as the current performers are being recognised, the performers will continue to be recognised in the years to come. This year’s top performers received cash rewards, trophies and certificates.
The Annual Sales Conference was coupled with a two-day residential program. On the first day, well known motivational trainer Dr. Kumar Iddamallena conducted a motivational training program and at the end of which Scan Star Awards was held to recognise the sales performance of 2011/12 financial year. The presentation of the Annual Business Plan of Scan Products Division to Group Chairman/CEO by the Executive Director – Internal Trading Mangala Perera also took place. Perera was confident of achieving the planned budgets for the year 2012/13.together with his senior executives and rest of the team.
On the second day, the theme for 2012/13 financial year – Goals and Growth was unveiled. It was a call to the sales force to ‘Achieve your own goals and contribute to the growth of the company’.
The Area Sales Manager’s then made presentations with details of strategies for the respective sales regions.
Scan Products Division operates as of the CWM Group’s Imports, Manufacturing and Marketing/Distribution arm of branded FMCG products, specialising in the Food and Beverage category. The established sales and marketing operations are augmented by its state-of-the-art production and bottling facilities for Sunquick Fruit Squash and Scan Bottled Water located in Horana.
The operation has been accredited with the ISO 9001-2008, ISO 22,000 – 2005 Quality Management systems and Food Safety Management Systems and GMP certification with also the SLS Certification.
Scan Products Division has achieved a name in Sri Lankan households as a distributor of renowned international and local brands including Sunquick, Ovaltine, Star Brand Essence and Colouring, Scan Bottled Drinking Water, Scan Jumbo Peanuts, Kotagala Kahata and Scan Jack Mackerel.
The division’s hybrid vertical sales and marketing structure and channel distribution strategy is supported by four different service networks such as the traditional trade, modern trade, wholesale and institutional trade and the food service sector.
Scan Products Division has mapped out certain strategic paths which bonded well with the Sri Lanka consumers, and this has been reflected in both top line and bottom line.
