Lycamobile provides £250,000 to Murali
Lycamobile, a low cost international mobile calls provider, has presented £250,000 (US$ 387, 565, 75) to the Sri Lankan spin legend Muttiah Muralitharan on behalf of the British Asian Trust.
“The core focus of the grant is to provide support to children, widows and the disabled in Sir Lanka to improve their livelihood” announced Lycamobile in a media release issued.
The money is the first installment of a £1 million grant the telecom company is planning to direct towards Sri Lanka through British Asian Trust, which is one of the prince’s Charities.
Subaskaran Allirajah, chairman of Lycamobile and The Gnanam Foundation, commented, “We are committed to providing long-term support to people in need.
“I am delighted to extend this partnership to Sri Lanka where we can make a significant impact on the lives of disadvantaged people.” he has said.
