Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo excelled in the 21st National Bartender’s Cocktail and Flaring competition held at the BMICH on 15 July. Three talented members of the Cinnamon Lakeside team went through to represent the hotel in the finals.  The finalists wowed judges at the Hotel show with Chandika Thilakarathna and Dinusha Vilashani in the Classical category and Yoshitha Niranjan representing the hotel in the Flaring category.

The atmosphere was electric around the BMICH during the competition, with crowds witnessing a range of exotic, brightly coloured and adventurous cocktails on show throughout the competition.
Cinnamon Lakeside emerged victorious at the cocktail competition with winners in both categories.  The talent of the three youngsters drove the hotel to success in the finals making them the only hotel in Sri Lanka to win two awards at once.
Yoshitha Niranjan dazzled judges with his daring stunts and produced a winning cocktail to emerge the all island first runner up in the flaring category. With momentum on their side Cinnamon Lakeside Dinusha Vilashani impressed the international judging panel by securing the second runner up spot in the classic category.
The win demonstrates the wealth of talent Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo possesses – just one of the ingredients that contribute to it being ranked internationally as the Best Luxury Hotel in Sri Lanka and the Best Five Star City Hotel by Sri Lanka Tourism.
