Live the thrills and spills of the London Olympics from the comfort of your home as Dialog Television (DTV); Sri Lanka’s leading Direct-to-Home (DTH) Digital Satellite TV service is broadcasting the 2012 Olympic Games in High Definition for the first time in Sri Lanka on ESPN HD (High Definition).

DTV customers who have subscribed to the HD package can now watch the 2012 London Olympics in crystal clear HD quality on DTV via ESPN (Entertainment and Sports Programming Network) HD from 27th July, just in time for the commencement of the games.    
Sri Lanka will be represented by a 7 member strong team who will contest for metal in sports disciplines of badminton, shooting, swimming and athletics. ESPN HD will televise the games Live with over 3,200 hours of coverage during the London 2012 Olympic Games that features 302 events in 26 sports, and over 10,000 athletes from more than 200 countries.   
Homes subscribing to DTV’s HD service would be additionally empowered with advanced viewing features in the DTV bouquet including Recording and Playback, Time Shift Television and Fast Forward/Rewind and pause facilities.
 In celebration of the Olympics Dialog TV is offering all its patrons a special one month waiver of the 990 rupees on the HD pack monthly fee for their existing DTV customers who upgrade to HD or obtain a new HD connection within the Olympics month. Those who subscribe the soonest will get to enjoy the Olympics live on HD as soon as the games commence this month.
With enhanced picture quality, vivid colours, sharper images and Dolby digital surround sound; the HD service will enable DTV subscribers to take in and enjoy the Olympic  like never before. HD channels broadcast by DTV will bring world class content that will cover not only sports but Movies, Action, Drama, Edutainment and Nature based programming  as well in to Sri Lankan homes complete with HD 1080i Resolution and Dolby Digital surround sound.
The HD package currently features National Geographic, Star Movies, AXN and ESPN Sports in full HD and also includes Ten Action, BBC Entertainment, Fashion TV and The History TV18 in Standard Definition format at no extra charge.
DTV customers who have the basic SD (Standard Definition) package still have the opportunity to watch the 2012 London Olympics Games live by subscribing to the ESPN and Star Sports combo package for 149 rupees a month plus taxes.
