Microimage and HP complete two years of successful media sector deployments

Microimage Mobile Media, Sri Lanka’s only broadcast automation software company, completed two successful years in partnership with HP for delivering integrated media solutions in Sri Lanka and in the region.

HP partnership enabled Microimage to provide complete integrated total solutions for its media sector clients in Sri Lanka and in the region. Microimage mStudio – One of the best enterprise radio automation solutions available in the market powers all the key radio networks in Sri Lanka.
mStudio which is 100% locally engineered radio automation product consist of modules which provides end to end solution for a radio broadcaster. Also, Microimage vStation the video broadcast suite also power a key advert insertion platform in Sri Lanka.

HP offers a wider comprehensive product portfolio to suit our specific needs. We are also delighted with the support extended so far by HP for successful deployments,” said Harsha Purasinghe, CEO of Microimage Mobile Media.
Microimage utilises the powerful product range of HP to deploy its solutions which consist of servers, storage, switches, racks and powerful workstations for its deployments. Some of the deployments include advance clustering for fail over operations.
Shiran Perera, Country Manager of HP shared his thoughts, adding, “We have identified Microimage as a potential Independent Software vendor (ISV) to carry HP’s Enterprise Server, Storage and Networking solution to the market and to add value to the solutions infrastructure that we provide. Microimage has very good solutions for both HR and media sectors where they own 100% market share on media automation deployments in the country. They also have a fantastic solution on deep archival solution for voice, images and video which is already being used by the Asia Broadcasting Corporation, Hiru TV. This solution is deployed on HP Proliant servers and EVA storage.”
“Microimage has been partnering with HP in offering high-end workstations coupled with solutions. We have received highly positive feedback from customers, especially in the media segment on the deployment and implementation of the solutions they have provided. We work very closely with Microimage to further extend the coverage of our product portfolio into broader segments,” said Lackshmindra Fernando, Country Manager for Personal Systems Group at HP.
Apart from deployments in Sri Lanka, Microimage delivered a comprehensive broadcast automation solution for Kristal Media, which is part of DST group in Brunei Darussalam last year utilising range of HP servers, storage, workstations and other accessories. Microimage worked with HP Singapore to provide this comprehensive solution where the system went live in record time. Microimage and HP will be working closely in future to bring the best hardware and software solutions for the media sector in Sri Lanka and in the region.
