Announcing the renaissance of a victorious partnership with Sri Lanka Cricket, MAS Holdings together with Sri Lanka Cricket and the National Players last night unveiled the new attire for team Sri Lanka; as the company, yet again, embarks on outfitting the National Cricket Team for the next three years.

During the past few years, alongside MAS Holdings’ rise to global fame as the fastest growing performance-wear manufacturer in the region, are the remarkable opportunities the company has created for men and women to excel in sports; supporting athletes with active sporting careers as well as nurturing raw untapped talent. Working at MAS are hundreds of national sporting greats who have represented Sri Lanka in over 20 different sporting disciplines. The company’s cricketing heritage boasts of numerous national cricketers, including all-round specialist T. M. Dilshan.
MAS Holdings Chairman Desha-manya Mahesh Amalean stated, “MAS has a proud heritage of creating innovative products for world class athletes, who compete at the highest level. This renewed engagement with Sri Lanka Cricket, allows us to bring our knowledge in new materials and technology, into creating clothing that enhances the comfort and performance of our team. MAS and its team members take great pride in having the opportunity to once again clothe our national teams.”

MAS Active Managing Director Shirendra Lawrence stated, “Having previously clothed the national team with high performance gear from 2006 to 2008, MAS Holdings further strengthened their bond with Sri Lanka Cricket by accepting the privileged opportunity to develop and manufacture the national cricket team’s game day clothing. Commencing with the attire for the ICC World Cup T20 kicking off next week, MAS Holdings will gear the national men’s team, women’s team and A team, U-19 team and junior national teams. The total outfitting solution will consist of all game day clothing for Test, ODI and T20 matches including performance base layer innerwear, sweaters, head wear as well as practice kits and track suits.”
The new uniforms of the cricket team were created to enhance performance whilst providing the players with the most comfortable garments, incorporating futuristic design elements and modern technological advancements. The sublimated yellow print on the front of the garment not only celebrates national pride, but also portrays the energy and confidence of the team with futuristic appeal. Thus, symbolising the complete image that Sri Lanka cricket desires to represent at the T20 World Cup and beyond.
The performance enhancing fabric, chosen for these garments with its close knit mesh structure, provides comfort and ventilation for the players, and is inherent with moisture management and anti-bacterial properties to channel the perspiration out and keep the body dry.
Sri Lanka Cricket President Upali Dharmadasa stated, “World renowned brands carefully pick their Branding Ambassadors, and it is not surprising that MAS Active have placed their faith in Sri Lanka Cricket. We will not fail them.”
“As an organisation that has always focused on uplifting the infrastructure of sports, this opportunity to support and power our national cricket teams was a most welcome challenge for MAS Holdings,” commented Group Director Dian Gomes. “We know that along with 55,000 associates at MAS, the rest of the country is also geared up to witness an inspired Sri Lankan victory, and we are proud to take part in this journey.”
